A gel polish and a CND Shellac Nail Polish are essentially the same thing: long-lasting polishes cured under UV lamps. The difference is that "gel nail polish", "gel nails" or "manicure" is the generic term for nails done under a UV lamp, while Shellac is a brand of gel nail polish by the company Creative Nail Design (CND), hence the full name CND Shellac

Normal Polish, which can also be referred to as traditional nail polish, is usually applied after properly prepping the nails and is finished off with a top coat. The nails are then left to dry by air. With Gel Polish, the polish is applied after prepping the nails, but is 'cured' with a UV / LED lamp. Each coat of polish will need to be cured, right to the top coat. Once this is done and the residue is wiped off , your nails will be completely dry. It can be seen as a longer process, but many women prefer it as your nails are guaranteed to be chip and smudge free for a much longer time than the traditional nail polish. We would suggest using gel polish, if you use your hands a lot (for even simply household chores like cleaning and cooking) and you want your nails to shine and last for much longer.

Yes, we will require you to perform a patch test usually 24-48 hours before the treatment to ensure that there are no adverse reactions to any of the ingredients used.

We recommend manicures and pedicures for women in their first trimester of pregnancy. After, the first 12 weeks, we recommend a wide range of treatments. Simply ask on the day and the beauty therapist will use her professional discretion in regards to the treatments you require.

Ever heard the phrase "Beauty is Pain". Our therapists are trained to be quick and minimise the discomfort by pulling the hairs in the right direction. Redness or a slight rash is typical, especially if it’s your first time. The more often you wax, the more your skin and hair becomes used to it – and the less it hurts.

We accept Cash and Card Payments only. In the unlikely event that the card payment machine is not working, we are conveniently located next to three different Cash Machines.
